Devotional: Growing Beyond the Plateau

Scripture: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18

Spiritual growth does not happen by accident, it happens through intention. There are seasons when we haven’t stopped believing, but we have stopped growing. God lovingly calls us beyond comfort and into deeper places with Him.

Growth requires pressing in: deeper worship, stronger faith, and greater consistency in God’s Word. Complacency may feel safe, but it limits what God desires to do in us. This fast is an invitation to stretch, to press past familiar routines, and to encounter God in new ways.

Today, we choose not to settle for where we are. We commit to growing, trusting that God has more ahead. As we press into His presence, He strengthens us, matures us, and leads us into deeper intimacy with Him.

Prayer Focus:

Help us grow in grace and spiritual maturity

Give us discipline and consistency in our walk

Stir a hunger for Your presence and Your Word Break complacency and comfort

Lead us into deeper worship and faith

Strengthen us for the next season

We declare: we are growing, stretching, and becoming all God has called us to be.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, thank You for calling us deeper. Give us the hunger and discipline to grow in You daily. We trust You to develop us for what’s ahead. Amen.
